Tioman, one of Malaysia’s most popular island measuring at 22 km long and 11 km wide, is located 20 miles off the east coast of West Malaysia via Mersing. The marine areas around Tioman and other nearby islands, an area two nautical miles from the coast, have been gazzetted as marine parks to conserve and protect marine flora and fauna such as fish, coral reefs and aquatic floras from being destroyed by fishing and other human activities. Water visibility ranges from 10m to 30m.

BEST TIME TO DIVE

 

 

Best time to dive will be from March to November. For period between November and March, due to the Northeast monsoon, diving is much challenging and most divers will prefer to dive in Bali or Phuket instead.

GETTING THERE & AROUND
 

Getting to Tioman is actually easy. The shortest way to get there is by traveling in the air from either Malaysia or Singapore. If you come from Singapore, the flight usually takes at least 45 minutes and if you came from Malaysia, usually it lasts less than an hour. You may also try to choose to transfer by ferry and speed boat from Mersing up to the east area of mainland Malaysia.

  • 2 nights stay at a Tioman resort; (Quad-sharing), air-conditioned & attached bathroom with hot shower  ​​

  • 5 or 6 dives including night dive (optional) if you are a certified Advanced Diver

  • Basic dive gear (Wetsuit, Mask, Fins, Weights, Cylinder) except torch

  • 5 meals

  • 2-way transfer by coach and ferry

  • Travel insurance (Optional but recommended to buy)

  • Equipment rental at SGD $40 (BCD & Regulator)

​

  • Torch rental at SGD $10 (Optional if you don’t have a torch and going for night dive)

  • Marine park fee RM 50 is payable in Mersing

Anchor 1

Day 1

(Depart on Fridays' evenings)

  • Pick up at stipulated Departure Point in Singapore to Mersing

​

  • Arrival at Mersing Jetty around 0000 followed by boat departure to Tioman Island

Day 2

  • Breakfast

  • 1st and 2nd dives

​

  • Lunch

​

  • 3rd dive

  • Rest & relax

​

  • Night Dive optional if you are certified AOW diver (4th Dive)

Day 3

  • Breakfast

  • Depart at around 1430 by boat to Mersing followed by bus to Singapore

  • ETA into Singapore in the evening

Note that it is advisable to register at least 1-2 weeks in advance

Terms & Conditions:

  • 50% payment must be made to secure booking. Balance of payment to be made 1 month prior to trip

  • For cancellation made more than 1 month prior to trip, 50% of trip cost. For that less than one month, full payment

  • To enjoy promotional rate, full payment required to secure the rates on a first come first serve basis (non-refundable). Package to be redeemed within 3 months upon payment date. If unable to do so, a top up of SGD100/pax is required

  • Please ensure that you bring along your International passport with a minimum of 6 mths validity
