(4-to-go)

Bathed in warm Indian Ocean currents, and with nearly 1600 kilometres/1000 miles of palm-fringed coastline, Sri Lanka is an amazing dive destination. This island nation has for millennia been a crossroads of historic shipping lanes, the Silk Road and other trade routes have shaped its unique culture.

From mysterious shipwrecks and distinctive rock formations to a variety of marine life, including numerous species of brightly-coloured tropical fish, eels, marine turtles and sting rays, exploring the island’s underwater world is highly rewarding! Catch whale sharks and dolphins during the peak seasons!

Unawatuna is just 5 kilometres from Galle Sri Lanka and is ranked amongst one of the most beautiful places to visit in Sri Lanka. Once listed as one of the best beaches in the world, it still entices a number of tourists and is exceptional for divers. Divers can witness coral reefs, wrecks of 19th century steam ship ‘Rangoon’, a large variety of fishes and turtles. Unawatuna is popular for its biodiversity and species of rare birds.

Above the surface, Sri Lanka also boasts wildlife reserves, which protect native species such as leopards, porcupines and anteaters. It is also famous for its unique foods and amazing teas, which should be sampled as part of any dive trip. Contact us for additional tour activities on your diving trip.
